YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! Most girls are in love with the character of Jack Dawson and they think that Dicaprio is really like that in person ... trust me he's not.... He only took the role of Jack because he felt it would be a challenge because he is nothing like that ... he said that himself ... all the girls who love Jack Dawson will eventually realize that they love the character and not the actor... As for me, I believe that Dicaprio is
probably a nice guy deep down, but he ain't no Jack Dawson.... However, he does look a lot like him! hehehehe....

Please, if you read this and are as offended by the "stupidity" as I was, and the reaction at your theater was definitely positive--write a little ditty refuting this DOPE's take on the trailer. I have to admit right out that I am a fellow Leonardo addict, and that I do enjoy talking about him excessively and hanging posters of him on my wall- But, why?
I've pondered this for so long, ever since Titanic came out and the frenzy was set into action- why Leonardo DiCaprio- why him? We know that he's handsome- we all love his blue eyes and his cute little lips, but the question I've wanted answered for so long is- why?
I finally have maybe one conclusion. We are not in love with him persay, or as a person, because very few of us know him. We are in love with Jack Dawson, hero extraordinare, who we want to come into our lives and save us. We want a Jack Dawson for our very own- we want to BE Rose. We fell in love, not with Leonardo, but with his beautiful character.
Face it- we cannot truly love Leonardo if we don't know him- not if the word love truly means something. We can like him, we can adore him, we can fully worship him, but we cannot love him as a person unless we know him.
Some of us may have to settle for Jack Dawson- which isn't actually a bad thing...........

So, perhaps he'll show up as the next Anakin Skywalker, or perhaps it was just a friendly "how ya doin" kind of meeting - you know, George and gang indulging a famous fan.

    Right... Decency... Privacy...

These words have been written many a time on this
    message board

with no regard to meaning or context and I intend to give them one if only for an instant.

Right, Decency, and privacy, whatever you think these things mean, can only have ethical
consequences with respect to a particular (or multiple) HUMAN LIFE (or lives).

What THIS MESSAGE board and the hundreds like it deal with, however, is NOT a LIFE. It is a PORTRAYAL of a life. And one even MORE internal than the PORTRAYALS we create for persons we actually have contact with. No this PORTRAYAL is constructed BY US not from actual experience with THE BOY'S LIFE but from other individuals' alleged actual experieces with THE BOY or THOSE AROUND THE BOY. Leo is, in fact, a character to us. He is a character to us, and a person to himself and that is all.
    thusly

Why should we not DISCUSS THIS CHARACTER "LEO" just like we would discuss any other

His """""personal experiences""""", his love life.... these things exist because we make them.
But wait you say... we experience him through his acting you say.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAH but if he is a GOOD actor...

If he is a GREAT actor we DO NOT
experience him that way. He prevents that... that's his JOB... and all we really have is his selection of roles which is as diverse as one could possibly hope for... signifying nothing.

So please... doubters let the girls and boys create their myth... experience their myth. Hero's always fair better when reality is merely a backdrop for their songs and deeds.
Let the story of Leo unfold as it will and allow yes I'll say it.... allow US a hero of our own making.
And I'm sorry but that entails gossiping about his love life, because it is not the love life of Leonardo DiCaprio the person as he knows himself. It is the love life of the CHARACTER Leonardo DiCaprio whom we have collectively constructed and whom we will continue to collectively reconstruct and reform from a groundwork of nothing. and nothing... well... nothing is... FAIR GAME.

Anyway, in the audience you could clearly see Leo and Kristen sitting behind the Laker's bench. I say this for the benefit of the people who, for some reason, want to deny that they are indeed a couple. Now maybe all the gossip and conjecture about them can stop. And no, they are not just friends because at one point, he leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. I'm sure other people saw it who can verify this.

    Hello everyone,
This is mainly directed to the unsigned writer a couple of posts down.
I would like to know exactly why it is that you come here. You claim to a "casual observor". What exactly does that mean? You obviously read the messages posted here, so one would assume that you have some interest in what is being said. I have read several comments lately about how thing have changed here and I would like to add my two cents worth.
All people and all things are constantly changing. It's called the "growing process". The hard part is always that "awkard stage" you have to get through in order to get to the next level (so to speak). I think it's important for all of us to remember why we come here. I, too, have many times been outraged, sickened and da** mad about some of the things that have been posted here. But I have also felt much joy and even laughed out loud as some of the "good stuff". Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as Terry & Ann so kindly assured me at one point, but I really don't understand why some people come here and post a message such as yours. It seem pretty "self-ritcheous" to me. But that's just my opinion.
I would also like to add that I believe that Richard is very capable of taking care of the children and I know that he has enough respect & admiration here, that he would not have to hesitate to "jump in here" anytime he felt it necessary.
So Hang In There, everyone! We will get through this " ulgy duckling" stage. This too, is A life in progress. Take care everyone!!!

Leo Rumors/Star Wars/Anakin Skywalker

Here is a very interesting bit of information coming off Aint-It-Cool-News.com website. Leo has been spotted a number of times recently in the company of none other than George Lucas. We know that he is a fan of Star Wars. We've seen the pictures of him buying Star Wars toys, haven't we? This information comes from supposedly "reliable" Hollywood spies who report to this site. Could Leo actually be in negotiations to star in the next Star Wars' film? Or is this just hooey? I don't know the answer there, but I do know this could be an incredibly shrewd "business" move on Leo's part. If, in fact, he did do this and pulled it off (personally, I don't think that would be a problem), he would not only shut up his most vociferous critics--you know, the ones who don't think he is a "real" star capable of negotiating real "long-term" career moves ala Tom Cruise--but consolidate his position in Hollywood and virtually ensure his career longevity (IMO, of course). He could still go back and forth making smaller films (for less money) and bigger films (for more money)--hopefully, the best of both worlds. I'm not really ready to give much credence to this rumor stuff but I'll tell ya, it is awfully interesting to ponder.

I've been a casual observer of this site for a while know. I've enjoyed the majority of the updates (although I've found them incredibly intrusive at times) and I've liked seeing some pics from the set of the film. But lately, I don't know what to make of this site anymore. What started out as an ambitious project has turned into a power trip. First off, everyone seemed to be so incredibly incensed over the fact that Leo didn't thank the site. Think about it, though: why the hell would he? I mean, if you were a celebrity, would you want anything to do with a website which specialized in providing gossip about you and insisted on following you around everywhere you go? I would want the site shut down for meddling in my life, not thanking it! I guess all of you felt like you had some personal stake in it, that he was offending you in some way because you've posted on the board a lot or because you signed the Say Hello To Leo Book. Just don't take it personally. He's a busy man, and, the truth is, I don't think he particularly cares about any of us.
Also, I just have to say, I don't understand why all of you obsess over him like he's some sort of god. I don't mean this to be an attack against anyone, but you follow everything he does so religiously, chewing over every damn report that comes out, acting like you know what is going on in his head, analyzing all of the reports, and even trying to spot him at sporting events. I just can't fathom what you guys are thinking!
Leo is a man! He's a human being. If you think about, what's been going on is almost borderline obsession. Yes, admire him for his acting, admire him because he's involved in charities, think he's attractive, but don't scrutinize every little thing he does. You guys supposedly hate the gossip, yet it's posted on the board and debated over all the time. You feel he's entitled to privacy and presumably abhor the tabloids, but, in truth, we're no better than these gossip mongerers. We should try to devote more time to our own lives and loved ones than to a person who doesn't even know we exist.

I just had to get this off of my chest. If you hate me for speaking my mind, fine. But this is the way I feel and, hopefully, maybe you'll begin to see how risible this pitiable fixation we all have seems to be.

    LEO DICAPRIO
    HIS FIRST MISTRESS

This voluptuous blonde of 37 tells how, during one torrid weekend, the hero of
‘Titanic’ lost his innocence to her. He had just turned 18...

Many a woman would have changed places with her like a shot! Barbara Jane
Rohling, a voluptuous American of 37 says that she did indeed initiate the
handsome young Leonardo Dicaprio to the pleasures of love making. The future sex
symbol had just turned 18. At the time the young actor had not yet made hearts
flutter with Titanic. But he already enjoyed going out on the town with his friends!
With 5 buddies in tow Leo was spending the weekend at a friend’s house where he
met Barbara Jane, a regular on the Hollywoosd party scene. “They wanted me to
cook for them”, says the pretty blonde. And she didn’t stop at passing around dessert!
“That Friday night I found myself alone with Leonardo on the sofa. We made love.
He was so awkward! Afterwards he admitted that it had been his first time. I thought
that was a bit odd, given his age...” However Barbara has fond memories of that
night. “He wasn’t muscular at all. His skin was so soft...He fell asleep afterwards,
just like a child” For 2 days she had several opportunities to relive this experience
with him...Their frolics were sometimes disturbed by Leo’s wild friends. “Once they
spied on us through the keyhole...”

After the torrid weekend they only made love one more time the following
week...before their affair came to a sudden end. But Barbara Jane assures us that
despite everything she has kept on good terms with Leonardo. And the mistress
remains very proud of her pupil...

NEW YORK. Kristin Zang has tamed the party lion. This is how Leonardo DiCaprio's dream existence looks like nowadays. restaurant visit with the girlfriend.

Leonardo DiCaprio is back in the USA after finishing the filming of 'The Beach' in Thailand. it became a little lonely towards the end as the girlfriend, Kristin Zang, went home earlier.
And Leonardo has lost his appetite for late nights and partying. It was a lot of that after the success with 'Titanic' but now he is mostly with Kristin Zang.
They were a couple already before Leonardo's breakthrough but after 18 months together the model broke up. She had tired of his partying.
But when Leonardo's co-star, Kate Winslet, got married at the end of the previous year he mounted the courage to call the love he had never forgotten, Kristin Zang.
    - 'I would love to be together with you', he declared and after various flowergifts and other gifts she returned to him.

    Co-starring De Niro?
Since then they have been a couple and DiCaprio has predicted: - One day she will be my wife.
The 24-year old actor is now negotiating about a part in Martin Scorsese's new movie 'The Gang of New York', a sort of 19th century version of 'Maffiabrøder' (sorry, I don't know the English title-Terry). Robert De Niro has already signed.

More on Leo's shoes

    If the shoe fits

That old saying about men with big feet came to the fore on Tuesday night when home nightclub hosted a celebrity shoe
auction, a benefit for People Living with HIV/AIDS.

Foot fetishists swarmed the place to perve at shoes worn by the likes of Joan Sutherland, Tom Hanks, Olivia Newton John,
Kim Beazley and Rene Rivkin. Maria Venuti's chiselled male companion put down $350 for Guy Pearce's cowboy boots; Bert
Newton's brown brogues were snapped up by a female barrister, though poor Dannii Minogue's black peep-toe stilettos didn't
get a bid. But it was the dimensions of Leo DiCaprio's black Prada clodhoppers that had punters agog: they looked a size 10,
perfect for the punter who bid $2,600 for them. Beside them were fast man Matt Shirvington's orange running shoes, so much
smaller by comparison that everyone who saw the accompanying (and revealing) pic of Shirvo in bodysuit agreed he must be
the exception to prove the rule.

A mystery bid of $3,000 for pink slingbacks belonging to Linda Evangelista was the night's highest. SIT also spotted
Paramount restaurant's Chris Manfield in a tense bidding battle during the silent auction with stylist Tim Elkington, who
walked away $275 poorer but carrying Livvy's autographed Blundstones.
