The following is a copy of the transcript of the second chat at the official web site for Leonardo DiCaprio. This time only Leonardo's mother was there to answer questions as well as some of his friends. They all used the screen name "birken". Many thanks to "Treggy" for posting this on the Leo Fans Only board. We have set up a new board called Questions for Leonardo and Friends, especially for those people who cannot make it into the chat room but still want to participate in some way. birken: His immediate family calls him Leonardo while others call him Leo.

amurai: My friend Alexis wanted toask what he thought of Phantom Menace.
birken: We know that he saw Phantom Menace..forgot toask what he thought of it, we are sure he liked.
amurai: Do you know if he plans to go to the NBA finals?
birken: sorry, we are not able to answer for sure.
amurai: Tina wants to ask if Leo still writes poetry.
birken: We have not seen him write poetry, if he does, it is something in his personal journal.

birken: he recently got out of hospital due to a broken foot.
amurai: Who Helene?
birken: Sorry, I meant she, Leo's grandmother.
Blue: has Irmelin or Leonardo been able to get back to Germany at all?
Birken: Lonardo has not been in Germany in quite some time due to achedule but Irmelin has been there recently.
amurai: Oh, I hope she is doing okay. Where can we send her cards?
Blue: I hope Helene is feeling better!
birken: Helene is overwhelmed with fan mail and she wishes not to receive any more condolences. We will pass on your well wishes.- Barbara: Who writes bio filmogaphy etc for the site, its a hoot.

amurai: Do you know what Leo thinks about some of the gossip written about him?
birken: Like all people, who likes gossip?
Blue: Marnie from the UK would like to know if Leonardo will be going to the Beach premiere in England.
birken: Marnie, we feel he will since he attended all the previous ones in England.
Barbara: Where will the first premiere be in Bangkok?
birken: It has not been determined yet, Barbara.
amurai: Do you know what was behind the boat sinking while filming The Beach? Some reports said they were in the water for a long time and others said only 5 minutes.
birken: We can tell you that the boat did sink but we are not quite sure about the time span. Leo did help several people to safety.
amurai: Jennifer wants to ask how he liked the Batman ride at Magic Mountain.
Barbara: Luckily he is a good swimmer. That's been a necessity in his roles.
amurai: We read he was there for a juvenile diabetes charity event recently.
birken: Leo loves Magic Mountain and all its rides.
birken: Yes, Leo learned to swim at CA in Hollywood even before he knew how to walk.'
amurai: Do you know if his next movie project will involve water again?
birken: Leo has not decided on his nexyproject but it would be interesting if it involved ain.
Barbara: ain? An acronym?

Bobbie2: Was Leonardo really in the theater when they booed the trailer?
birken: No, No, No.
amurai: I heard they booed all the trailers, not just The Beach.
Barbara: Do you think he will consider doing a stage play?
birken: Everyone hopes so, but there is nothing planned yet.

birken: Coolozz, Leo's mom was born in Gernmany. His grandmother lives there. Leonardo spent much time there when he was growing up.

birken: Kate Winslet and Leo live far apart and on occasion their paths meet at.... and such other events.

birken: Leo goes online whenever he has the time.
